Hii!🌷 Aestura was honestly such a dream when it comes to hydration, but it breaks me out?

Does anyone know an ingredient in it that’s not suited for sensitive, acne-prone skin? I’m buying new products to try and wanna avoid whatever ingredient broke me out~

I’m so sad!! It was perfect ;/

the new and old version of this breaks me out but the old lotion version dont. im not sure why either but maybe because this version is heavier? im looking for a alternative to the lotion because the new version just isnt it

This cream has an extremely comedogenic ingredient called ethylhexyl palmitate and also oleic acid which can trigger acne. I suggest you check the ingredients of products analyzed before actually using them for yourself, especially if you have sensitive or acne prone skin (I recommend the app skinsort)

I love this it has saved my skin but that’s why skincare is so tricky doesn’t work for everyone. The Bean Essence that everyone loves broke me out so bad

Unfortunately there’s probably no easy way to tell beyond cross-referencing the ingredient lists of the products that break you out. Skincare isn’t one size fits all, our unique skin chemistry makes it so no one product works perfectly on everyone’s skin. Comedogenicity ratings aren’t reliable either as Lab Muffin (a cosmetic chemist) [explains](https://labmuffin.com/fact-check-how-to-use-comedogenicity-ratings/), as the most common test used is smearing the product on a rabbit’s ear and our skin is obviously not the same as a rabbit’s ear, and even human tests are flawed because back skin =/= facial skin and sample sizes are too small to draw any reliable conclusions. You’d just have to experiment around a bit. Good luck!
