sorry guys, not sure if this is the best place to ask but im looking for general hair tips and advice. copypasting my post in r/hair to reach a wider audience. (not quite sure what flair to use either)

im totally clueless about hair and haircare and i appreciate any advice, insights or suggestions at all.

i have virgin asian hair and live in a humid country. my routine is shampoo with diane botanical moist shampoo and condition with the diane botanical moist conditioner or TRESemme keratin smooth conditioner every morning and night (my hair gets oily super fast and i feel gross if i don’t wash it, especially if i went out that day) my hair seems pretty straight when i blow dry + comb but not sure if heat has anything to do with it, as ive heard to have pin straight hair is quite rare. i’ve also noticed my hair flips outwards but unsure if it’s just the awkward length

in the photos attached i had combed my hair after getting out of the shower and let it dry without touching it. photos taken in sunlight about 1h after wash, hair is combed in the last photo

looking to find out several things through this post:

    • my hair type (im thinking 1b or 1c?)

    • hair colour (it looks brownish in some light, but black in others)

    • hair porosity. how can i tell? i heard the float test isn’t accurate but i tried it and my hair floats for a while before sinking to the middle.

    • is it very frizzy per se? what can you tell about my hair?

a friend is in japan and i have asked them to help me purchase the tsubaki hair mask after hearing good reviews, but im second guessing if fino would’ve been a better choice. which should i get?

also i fucked up my bangs a week ago and cut them way too short, any tips on how to grow them faster 🥲

open to any questions. if you could provide an observation or feedback of anything else id appreciate that too, even if it’s only targeted at one of these areas. sorry for such a long post, have a good day!
