#Mascara review: heimish smudge stop, kiss me heroine advanced film, and kiss me heroine super waterproof
**Climate:** extremely hot and overwhelmingly humid. My job is very physical and we don’t usually have air conditioning, so I sweat a lot.
**Skin type:** used to be extremely oily, but I just finished accutane so it’s more “normal” now. I started using the heimish one back when my skin was oily, but the kiss me ones are newer. I do not have sensitive eyes.
**Lash type:** I got a lash lift and tint two weeks ago, full disclosure. The lash lift didn’t actually do very much lifting this time for some reason (maybe she used the wrong size rod? Idk), but I’ve found that if I use a curler it holds like nobody’s business. I curled my lashes in all of these photos. I do not have sensitive eyes, but I do have dry eyes. Prior to the lash lift, my lashes could hold an alright curl but it would only last an hour or two.
##heimish smudge stop mascara- curl- black:
This is a tubing mascara, and I love it with all my heart.
**Pros:**
– does not give me panda eyes
– stays on all day without smudging even when I am dripping sweat or when I was oily*
– comes off very easily with just water, it just kinda…slides off?
– looks gorgeous, feels soft. I’ve had 2 people ask me which mascara I’m wearing since I started wearing this, and that has never happened to me before!
– It gives me a heads up before it expires. Photo #2 shows a 5 month old vs brand new heimish mascara bottle. I think the moisturizers/ sunscreen on my hands eat away at the paint on the bottles, so after about 4.5 ish months of daily use the bottle starts to look like this. When the paint starts to flake, I know it’s time to buy a new mascara because it usually starts to get a little clumpy about 2 weeks later (photo # 3). I know mascaras technically have a shelf life of just 3 months after opening, but I’m fine with 5.
**Cons:**
– It feels a little more wet than other AB mascaras. It’s still much drier than a lot of western ones, but if you have trouble holding a curl it might weight down your lashes? Cannot conform nor deny
– *It may not smudge at all, but it CAN flake a tiny bit on the lower lashes when I’m dripping with sweat. (I put quite a bit on my lower lashes). My solution for this is just to put a clear coat of canmake’s quick lash curler separate underneath my lower lashes. It solves the problem 100%
– I love that the bottle kinda degrades after a few months, but I could totally see that being a negative for someone.
**Score:** 9.5/10 HG, WRP. This is my 4th repurchase.
##Kiss me Heroine long curl advanced film mascara:
Another tubing mascara
**Pros:**
– Clumps? Never met her. I don’t think I could make this mascara clumpy if I tried
– Fairly dry, so I’d imagine it holds a curl?
– Pretty natural application, not dramatic. I used a two coats on my top lashes in my photo because I’m used to a much more dramatic look
– I haven’t noticed it flaking or smudging at the end of the day, but I’ve only worn it out 2-3 times
**Cons:**
– My lashes feel kind of “crunchy” when I wear it, not soft
– Does not come off as easily as the heimish. Even though it’s a tubing mascara, I still need to use a little bit of makeup remover or else I’ll look like a panda when I step out of the shower. Nothing crazy but I’m spoiled.
– Not a very dramatic effect, if that’s important to you
– Leans slightly gray in the light
**Score:** 7/10 MRP
##Kiss me heroine make long up super waterproof:
A waterproof mascara, not tubing
**Pros:**
– Natural but buildable effect (I am wearing 2 coats on upper lashes)
– Lengthening
– Does not clump
– Seriously budgeproof, I wear this during rainstorms and when I swim!
– A darker black than the advanced film
**Cons:**
– If the advanced film felt crunchy, this one feels sharp. This mascara coats my lashes with such a powerfully indestructible force that they turn into spears of war. I just don’t think I’m meant to have that kind of power, so it’s a con for me.
– Tough to remove means tough to remove. If you buy this, make sure you get the kiss me mascara remover too!
– Not as dramatic as other mascaras, but not bad at all.
**Score:** 8/10 WRP for water activities
##Honorable mention: Canmake quick lash curler separate in clear
– I use this clear mascara to coat the bottom of my lower lashes. It stops my mascara from smudging, does a great job. I love how tiny and stiff the wand is, sometimes I’ll use it to “detangle” clustered lashes too.
**Score:** 7.5/10 MRP (only because I feel like I could find a cheaper clear mascara)
