Questionable marketing tactics aside, I really like this cushion
I am NC44 in Mac, and the shade 40N matches me almost perfectly (slightly darker, still natural looking with a glow – most people wouldn't notice the difference). I'm also impressed with how little product was required to give me full coverage. I suspect 35 N might be a better match if I wanted err on the side being slightly too light, but I am happy enough with this cushion for now since I don't mind being slightly darker.
I literally squished the cushion a little, just once, and then tapped most of it on the back of the puff holder. The remaining amount covered half of my face even though the cushion looked like it had nothing. I used the rest on the back of the cushion holder for the other side of my face and for a second layer.
Felt like nothing and had a natural finish, but my acne hyperpigmentation was basically covered. And it doesn't transfer either.
I understand why people like cushions. It's so easy if you know how to put them on. It's also very suitable for slightly warm medium dark olive skin tones, which is hard to find foundations for.
If you are Indian, which tends to have medium dark olive skin tones, definitely worth checking out.

Yes! It’s about time Korean cushions expanded their range from just the normal fair skin tones. I got the 29N (I’m shade Valencia in NARS – so medium golden?) and it’s working ok. I think I still prefer the finish of my western foundation (NARS light reflecting) but it’s so good to even have a Korean option.
I hope the success of this product inspires other brands to add more shades to their range too.
I know this isn’t the most sanitary but I use a brush tip apply this. I dip my concealer brush into the cushion and apply it to my face and it apply it in smaller amounts and it looks like skin
I love that Tir Tir is offering a sample pack of trial colours for the cushion range. I think it was only $2 per pack through YesStyle? I’ve ordered one for me and one for my daughter. We’re in a tiny town in NZ, so being able to get samples online is super-helpful!
Omg yes finallyyyy i need to go check it out
I’m very happy for my darker-skinned sisters to have a chance to try out a trendy cushion. Personally it’s been way too long but everyone no matter what skin color they are doesn’t deserve to feel left out because that’s what inclusion means. It is horrible to me personally that the AB market is oversaturated to the point of shitty products/gimmicky for lighter skinned folks but doesn’t have as many options for darker skin tones.
I lived in India (Bangalore, not a rural city by any means) for four months back in 2019 and whenever I went to makeup shops there I was honestly sad to see that even Lakmé, Forest Essentials, Faces Canada, ect. did not offer foundation shades for anyone darker than NC40. So even PoC relying on local brands in their own country is not exactly feasible for everyone – and seeing TirTir recognizing the opportunity to make things more inclusive is a good step to see. I’ve always thought that darker skinned ladies should be able to access the latest/trendiest formulas if they wanted to!
I’m so excited. Needed that shade range for cushion foundations
I’m so, so, so glad they’re making more shades and expanding them. I hope they’ll continue and maybe other brands will follow in their footsteps.
Do you mind posting a swatch of some sort (arm or wherever is fine)? I don’t use MAC but I’m a medium deep olive skintone and would probably be around ~NC44 too. I was gonna wait on the new Tirtir shades bc I feel like I’m in between 40 and 43 so I’m surprised 40N is actually a bit too dark for you!
Did it oxidize for you at all? I’m wanting to pick one up, but been a bit wary because I’ve heard about the oxidation.
Although it’s still too light for me, I love how they made darker shades. I heard rumours they’re releasing 10 more shades June so hopefully I can find my shade when they come out. Tir Tir will definitely become a favorite brands regardless if I like their products or not
Hello OP. thanks for this post. I am around NC45. Findation says 35N is my shade. But since it oxidises I was thinking to go for 29N ?
What do you think?
Can you send me swatches?
