Hi everyone!
I've been wanting to start incorporating retinol into my routine as a preventative measure. Nothing intense like tretinoin because my skin is very sensitive, but something more retinol beginner friendly like the Cosrx 0.1 retinol cream.
What I wanted to discuss was, how does one go about applying retinol around the eye area, or should that be avoided completely?
I've seen people say to never apply retinol around the eyes as it can lead to vision loss, but is that only for more intense formulations such as tretinoin?
I noticed that there are several AB retinol eye creams with regular retinol cream counterparts (Skinfood black cherry retinols, Esfolio retinols, etc), so I'm assuming eye area specific retinols would be fine to use around the eye area right? But since the Cosrx 0.1 retinol cream is only 0.1, would I be able to apply it to the eye area too?
And I don't mean all over my eyelids or something lol, just underneath my eyes and around the sides, since those are common areas where fine lines and wrinkles could form and I want to be able to prevent that.
The Cosrx 0.1 retinol cream would be my first choice because I like Cosrx, but if it's not suitable for the eye area I'll probably opt for the Skinfood black cherry or Esfolio retinol creams/eye creams.
What are your experiences?
