You can still age well and beautifully without actives.

Clay masks and acids should be used in the middle of your double cleansing routine! It should go: oil wash, clay mask, acid, foam wash, etc.

– Beauty of Joseon and Anessa UV sun gel sunscreens suuuuuucks. They’re not light weight, white cast free nor ‘non greasy’. Yes, you’re all wrong !!

Cleansing balms are just cleansing oils that require more work/an extra step.

Less is more. You don’t need both toner and serum.

You don’t have to cleanse your face in the morning. Just a splash of water and you’re good to go.

Skincare advice from other people is only minimally useful (if at all). Everyone is so different that there is literally nothing that will work well for everyone.

We have to stop listening to influencers who are like 23. Your skin doesn’t look amazing because of a serum. You’re just 23. You look great but I am not taking anti aging lessons from you.

Sometimes, minimal routines are not all that. It’s perfectly fine to play around with your fancy potions and I’m tired of people saying “you don’t need all that crap”.

Cleansing oils are not worth it. I think almond oil or regular olive oil actually works better.

Tret doesn’t work for everyone. Doesn’t matter if you sandwich or take lower doses or whatever, sometimes it just doesn’t work and it’s ok to stop trying to make it work.
I get co2 laser every 2-3 years and I find it works as well if not better than people who have used tret for a decade.
MVP for beautiful healthy skin will always be SPF and a good wide brim SPF50 hat.

My controversial opinion is my antibacterial face oils have gotten rid of my acne better than actives. (I have sensitive skin)

cleansing oils do not get rid of sebaceous filaments, blackheads, or make pores appear smaller. the little spots influencers show us on their hands after “oil gritting” is their sunscreen that pilled during the oil cleanse.

why get face masks serums when you can have it in a bottle. while it can be fun, it takes so much time and so many face masks on the market look sketchy. also costs more waste

Cleansing my skin worse so I don’t cleanse ever.

Toner is BS. My dermatologist said it first but I agree bc cutting toner out of my routine in favor of taking extra care to wash thoroughly and for longer did nothing but save me money and clear my skin
