First is Heroine, second is Clio

Like many people here, I’ve long struggled to find the best AB mascara. I’ve used the Heroine one more for years, usually over the Tarte Lights Camera Splashes mascara (which is super good, if you’re looking for a non-clumping, long lasting, lengthening mascara. The only reason I don’t like using it alone is because the hold is not as strong). I bought the Clio last time I was in Asia, and actually didn’t like it the first couple tries!
The first pic is HM on its own. The HM gives much more volume and gives a much more dramatic look than Clio but less length. I would say it’s a little less drying than Clio but the actual tube of mascara lasts longer. HM also does not hold as long as Clio.
Clio long curl is great if you already have long lashes and like a more ‘cute’ look. I will say that the formula feels much more dry and gives a more spidery look if you’re not careful with application because of the fibers. Clio is also good if you don’t like to have to remove mascara from your lids after. The application is much more precise than HM and if you like the lengthy, separated look, Clio may be better for you!
I personally like the look of fuller lashes, but I’ve gotten so many comments about how my lashes look like falsies with Clio. I think I’ll probably try the curl volume Clio one next, just because it may be a good middle ground for what I’m looking for. I’m happy to answer any questions!!
