I wanted something without actives and neutral, to use with retinoids and other actives, and these three is what I landed on for my (usually) combo oily skin.
– Cosrx Advanced snail cream 92
– Illiyoon Ceramide ato soothing gel (not the cream)
– Etude House Soon Jung 2x Barrier intensive cream
I got into the retinoid using it 2x a week, alternating it. Somehow it still dried me out like crazy. I started flaking, no breakouts tho.
Took a break from the retinoid, using just these moisturizers after cleansing.
Straight up, Illiyoon is my winner. I haven’t tried the cream, but I love this gel texture. It’s light yet still occlusive. It really rehydrated me, dryness gone within a couple of days. It did its job really well. It’s going to be a staple on my skincare shelf. Plus the size and price is really unbeatable, amazing value.
Cosrx snail cream, I got it just because the texture looked fun lol. I ended up loving it, it gave me the glass skin look almost instantly! I didn’t even expect to get THAT glowy. I got it in a tube, it’s super practical using it for the day doesn’t bother me at all, it just feels like a gel moisturizer to me. This boi is also going to be a staple.
Etude House Soon Jung… I had high hopes for this one but it’s like they didn’t even show up to the fight… I feel like it didn’t help against my dryness whatsoever. It does feel nice though, and it’s super light. I will keep using it when the dryness and flakiness stops, and it’s probably going to be perfect for summer.
