**TL;DR: excellent first essence if you have dry skin and are fed up with watery products**

    **Skin Profile / Climate**

    40+, UK seasonal climate, combination with seriously dry cheeks and forehead.

    Skin concerns: aging, texture, redness/visible reactivity (not sensitive though).

    **Routine**

    Note: it’s all luxe pretty much and some I either still use samples because I over-purchased the samples or because I’m still debating on a full size.

    * Allies of Skin Silk Amino Cleanser

    * **Whoo Bichup First Moisture Anti-Aging Essence** (I’m still using up the Sooryehan Ginseng First Essence as well)

    * Sooryehan Hyobidam Fermented Toner (PM)

    * Sooryehan The Black Serum

    * Sooryehan The Black Essence Moisturiser

    * Sooryehan Spring-Water Cream (AM)

    *AHC Ten Revolution Real Eye Cream For Face (Season 10, PM)

    * Benton Deep Green Tea Lotion (nose to chin area only, PM)

    * Sooryehan Hyobidam Fermented Cream

    * Beauty of Joseon Relief Sun Rice + Probiotics sunscreen (AM)

    $34 from TesterKorea. Bargain for what it is!

    Note: not to be confused with the Bichup Self-Generating Concentrate. This the First Moisture is a more basic product.

    **Review**

    *Packaging*
    Apart from lip products, this was my first full size Whoo product.

    It’s a weighty glass bottle and I adore it.

    The pump works very nicely, dispensing a sensible amount of product and it’s responsive to pressure.

    *Texture*

    It’s a light gel texture with pretty gold flakes suspended in it.

    I’ve used this first, as per the instructions, and later in my routine, it dries well regardless of when I use it.

    *Fragrance*

    It’s a classic perfumey cologne type smell, I don’t really get any distinct notes from it but that might be my inferior nose 🤷🏻‍♀️

    It’s not my favourite, the Whoo Gongjinhyang Seol Radiant White is much nicer.

    I thought it was quite noticeable when I tried samples. Little did I know that I would end up considering this relatively faint: the Whoo Bichup Ja Yoon cream has exactly the same fragrance but x1000!

    *Experience*

    I tried samples of this first and when my skin was on the less dry end of the combo scale, it was a night only type product and not every day.

    I was using the Sooryehan Ginseng First Essence and that was absolutely HG until my skin got drier. Now my skin drinks it up like I’ve barely applied anything. I used to think it was quite moisturising and it is, just not on my skin anymore 😞

    And that’s where I thought the Whoo might be a good alternative. The deal was sealed when I saw it on TK for the same price that I paid for the Sooryehan (I ordered that from Jolse I think).

    I find it both hydrating and moisturising, it fits perfectly with my current skin type.

    I like that it helps Sooryehan’s The Black Serum dry down better as I’ve previously complained that it takes a while to dry, for a luxe serumy type product (no alcohol). It does a better job than the Ginseng First Essence.

    I’m still using up the Ginseng First Essence in the evening, as I use more moisturising creams then so I don’t notice the difference so much but I’ll be glad when it’s finished and I can use the Bichup First Moisture full time!

    I hope it stays this price at TK because this is a key part of my routine now 💗
