Here’s my Jbeauty cosmetics haul from a recent trip to Japan! I’ve listed the items below for reference. Some of these are repurchases, while others are things I’ve been planning to try. I’ll post some reviews for items in this purchase – I’ll start with things I’ve been using for a while, then move on to the rest once I’ve used them for several months. Hope this helps someone out there.

To preface – my skin type is oily and dehydrated, slightly prone to acne and scarring. I live in a tropical country with high humidity (70-90% humidity) and warm temperatures (~30 degrees celcius). I’m approaching my 30s, and don’t smoke or drink.

Shade-wise, I match Hourglass Vanish Concealer in Birch and Rare Beauty’s tinted moisturiser in 10N. I haven’t used AB complexion products for a long time, so I don’t have a shade match in AB products for now.

    **Reviews (Part 1)**

*Hada Labo Premium Shirojyun Lotion Rich (refill)*

Note that this is the RICH version, which is more viscous than the regular version. I’ve been using this for at least a year. It’s a good moisturising workhorse – it sinks into my skin within seconds, and my skin feels markedly less dry after.

    *Softymo Speedy Cleansing Oil (refill)*

This takes makeup and sunscreen off very quickly. I’ve been using this for at least 7 years. It works fast on foundation and liquid lipstick, but I preferred the Bifesta eye and makeup remover when I wore heavier eye and lip makeup years ago. I always use a foam cleanser after this cleansing oil – I find I have fewer closed comedones with this method.

    *One by Kose Melanoshot W*

I started using this about a year ago. It fades fresh acne scars rather quickly and is cosmetically elegant. Personally, I prefer this over the very popular Melano CC based on effectiveness. I use this at night, and the melano in the day. The One by Kose range is so slept on!

*SANA Namerakahonpo Brightening Wrinkle Eye Cream (with Niacinamide)*

I’ve been using this for a few months without a bad reaction to it. I apply this to my under eye area, my forehead and to my smile lines. I’ll continue using this before concluding if this has any significant effects.

*Canmake Abloom Marshmallow Finished powder 03 (Plumeria Wreath)*

This is a pressed powder. I’ve been using this for a few months and I LOVE it! I had been using Innisfree’s No-Sebum powder (loose and pressed) for years, but I prefer this by a mile. The Canmake powder doesn’t leave as much of a white cast as the Innisfree powder. It’s great for travel, and I love the puff! The finish is satiny on me – it cancels the sheen, and leaves me with a soft glow.

    *Excel Lipnized 04 (Marry You)*

I’ve been using this for a few months – I keep this in my purse as a touch-up lipstick as it’s very light and sleek. The bullet looks dark, but the actual shade is a flattering tint of cool reddish pink that is buildable. The texture is balm-like and has a semi-glossy finish. It clings to dry patches so I always use a moisturising lip balm under it. They have other shades as well.

*Lucido L Argan Rich Oil for hair (Frizz care)*

I’ve been using this for a few months. It makes my hair softer, even after blow-drying it. I apply this to damp hair. There’s a light scent but it fades very quickly after application and does not linger. I don’t smell it on my hair at all after my hair is dry.

*Rohto C3 Cube eye drops (pink box)*

I’ve been using this for at least a year. I have dry eyes (I suspect it’s partly because I have extensions), and this makes them feel less sore. I don’t use them often – perhaps once every few days if I’ve been using computers a lot, and my eyes feel tired. This is a pretty safe bet.
