Panned a lip oil and still have no idea what a lip oil is

Colourpop Lux Lip Oil in Blossom Out. I bought it during one of their clearance events because I was curious about getting a lip oil since I’m not a huge fan of lip gloss. To me, this was kind of goopy and gel-like, very similar to a lip gloss. I’ve heard some lip oils are thinner and more oily, but I don’t know if it would be substantially different from a gloss. I’m now looking for recommendations for a very thick lip balm instead.
