Pinky Nude Lipsticks for Beige Skintones

I posted this as basically this is a very hyper-specific color family that I find uncommonly made in many mainstream brands. I’m not olive – I’m a beige-toned light medium skined gal who finds that most ‘nude’ lipsticks in Western brands such as Revlon/Maybelline/Rimmel wash me out, but at the same time I can’t do super pink or super cool pinks that were made for darker/warmer skintones because the color just looks ‘off’. Basically my ideal lip color is very specifically **mauve neutral pinks** or **neutral pinks that have an equal amounts of beige or very neutral brown** mixed in.

My best foundation shade matches tends to be the darkest offerings in most Japanese brands, I find that N23 shades in Korean foundation ranged from too pale to “this is too grey” for me. MAC C3 Face and Body is a dead-on match for my face – not too warm and not too cool.

Many olive-toned/tan Southeast Asian women often wear brick-reds or brown-orangey lipsticks that don’t suit my NC25-NC30 beige tone skin, so it’s been A Process to figure out what exactly “my lips but better” means on me.

My experience with Western ‘nude lipsticks’ has also been somewhat mediocre as the longevity of other lipsticks such as Charlotte Tilbury ‘Pillow Talk’ (og shade) doesn’t last beyond a few snacks and a drink. I loathe reapplying, so I prefer long-lasting mattes – liquid lipsticks. Maybelline Superstay Ink has been included here as a reference point but as you can see here, I’ve chosen quite a few Southeast Asian brands as 1. they’re incredibly affordable in Southeast Asia and 2. they prioritize longevity and covering lip pigmentation more so than K-beauty and J-beauty

My favorite out of the bunch surprisingly is **Dazzle Me Misty Matte Lip Cream** (Indonesian), lightly blended out with a finger – the unicorn color of pink brown beige that I was looking for the longest time. The longest lasting will certainly be the **Wardah Colorfit Lip Paints** (also Indonesian) – this are a truly magnificent formula that manages to outperform the Maybelline Superstay Ink with no cracking even through meals and coffee.

I included **Rom&nd’s Pomelo Skin** as the coral/warm tones of Pomelo Skin are muted sufficiently to give me that Kim Kardashian NARS ‘Turkish Delight’ lewk (those who were into makeup back in 2010 know how popular this lippie was lmao). The saturation of Pomelo Skin is dark enough to provide contrast against my light medium skin, but also isn’t too nude to make my lips have no definition.

inb4 someone says “sis these are all the same colors” let me tell you…. finding the right nude is like getting a PhD in color seasons lmfao… I have yet to find the perfect bulletproof formula of my dreams combined with the perfect nude colors lolololol

I really think nude lipsticks have some sort of precision more so than, say, red lipsticks or a nice pinky lipgloss. Not only is the undertone so vitally important, but it’s also about saturation to provide enough contrast. So again on my face, sadly there are no dupes. lmao

foundation shades I more or less adjust and I’m not very picky generally speaking but lipstick…. hmm lmao
