Retinol virgin here, this is my week 2 and the purge is real. This is the lowest concentration of retinol I could find and I have gone my whole life with no acne but occasional pimples. I’m 30. And, I’m sorry, acne really hurts on face! I’ve been using on an alternate day basis. I did not have fine lines or aging issues, but I did have dark spots that are covered by the red ones. I’m kinda looking forward to clearing. :3

Omg keep us posted! I have it but haven’t tried it yet because I’m a little scared lol it would be my first ever retinol!

Best of luck with you, my skin liked retinol and didn’t really react at all, and really helped with dark spots (from acne) and even out skin tone for me.
Niacinamide though, my skin is picky about. Differin broke me out.
Purge pimples should go away faster than normal pimples if that helps at all. Hoping for a quick purge for you too
There is a good chance that the BC might be causing the acne. There was a period of time when I used to take BC pills at irregular times and had daily acne for a month. Initially I attributed it to retinol, but it persisted even after stopping retinol and paring down to a basic routine. Finally, set an alarm for taking BC pills on time. My acne cleared up in one week. 😅
