stylevana/unblemish haul

i’ve had a couple of skincare parcels come in recently, so i thought i’d share them! a lot of these pictured products i haven’t used yet (i’m still very much in the trying-different-products phase of my skincare routine!) but the ones that i have tried i will post a mini-review!

i have oily & acne-prone skin, so a lot of these are brought with that in mind. i also struggle with hormonal acne which fluctuates in severity alongside my cycle.

    **unblemish**
*my go-to uk based site, prices are the best i’ve found for a within-uk website and ships super quick so very good for when i cannot wait for something! i got this order a couple weeks ago so i have tried all of these products*

**beauty of joseon** *radiance cleansing balm*
a repurchase, this is my HG first cleanser. i’m a twice daily double cleanser and this cleans but also conditions my skin and softens any rough patches. it also cleans out my sebaceous filaments brilliantly! 5/5

    **isntree** *green tea fresh toner*
this is… okay. it definitely doesn’t tone my skin as well as the skin1004 centella poremizing toner did (that dried my spots out really fast and well) but i didn’t repurchase the skin1004 because i hated the salt in it and how drying it was on my overall face. the isntree green tea toner isn’t as drying, i’m just not really getting anything from it. i also don’t like how it’s not clear LMAO it really is orange and almost oily feeling on a cotton pad. i’ll carry on using it and see how i feel later on down the line, but for now it’s a WNRP and a middle-of-the-road 2.5/5

    **pyunkang yul** *essence toner*
something this simple should not work this well. this is gorgeous, it’s hydrating yet soaks in fast, and i just love using it. i generally go for toners that are made for oil and blemish control but will always be following it up with a faceful of this. it’s like a ‘reset’ after the more-stripping toner. i also use it after applying my cosrx aha/bha. i have no idea what astralagus is but it gets the thumbs-up from my skin! this is so so affordable too, and a little goes a long way. HG and WRP, 5/5

**jumiso** *snail mucin 95 + peptides* and **cosrx** *snail mucin 96 power essence*
grouping these together as they both serve me the same purpose and that is getting a lot of snail goo on my face. snail is a WONDER for my skin and has improved it’s texture and suppleness so much, i never want to not use a snail product. i slightly prefer the jumiso one as it is a bit less sticky than the cosrx, and therefore easier to spread. but both are HGs and WRP (probably depending on price and availability), the jumiso is a definite 5/5 and the cosrx a 4.5/5

**mary & may** *tranexamic acid glutathione eye cream*
free sample! have only used a pinch once so far, so no comments yet. i also received a pyunkang yul black tea free sample set, but it’s unpictured as i gave it to my mum (i already have a sample set of that line!)

    **total price of order** = £37.78 (£

    **stylevana**
*ordered placed 22/02, order received 06/03! faster than i was expecting, i only ordered products that were ‘in stock and ready to ship within 24 hours’. however, i noticed 1 item went to 30 working days before my order was packed, but then i got the email saying that my order was packed and ready to be shipped the next day. a mystery! i paid the extra to have the package insured, but got free flat-rate standard postage.*

    not yet tried:
    **isntree** *green tea fresh cleanser*
**beauty of joseon** *green plum refreshing cleanser*
    **ma:nyo** *galactomy clearskin toner*
    **skin1004** *madagascar centella soothing cream*
    **i’m from** *mugwort essence*

**round lab** *mugwort calming sheet mask*
PSA: this was on buy 1 get 1 free, but i just added one to my cart assuming i’d get another free. i’m now sure that you have to add two to your cart, and the second is discounted off the price and so free. i am silly

**torriden** *dive in low molecular hyaluronic acid cream*
full-size freebie with the code from the SV instagram!

**some by mi** *aha bha pha 30 days miracle starter kit*
another freebie from the aforementioned code! more skeptical on this one as the products contain a lot of essential oils. the serum also contains alcohol so i’ll probably use it as a spot-treatment rather than over my full face. the cleanser is a little bar (!) and i’m going to use it on my back/chest/shoulders in the bath and store it in an empty radiance balm pot.

    **skin1004** *madagascar centella ampoule*
    free sample!

now for, tried! these are first impressions really rather than full reviews, as i have only used the products for a couple of days:
**haruharu wonder** *black rice 10 hyaluronic cream*
this is nice so far as a night cream. i am an oil slick so i don’t really get along with thick creams, but wanted an actual cream rather than a gel for use at nighttimes. this fits that bill! it feels hydrating and isn’t too thick and greasy – it doesn’t feel like it’s just sitting in my pores. it has a STRONG lavender scent due to containing lavender oil, i like the smell of lavender and it hasn’t irritated my skin, but it’s still early days. i also… really like the packaging, it’s cute but i dread trying to get the last dregs of product out

**a’pieu** *honey & milk lip balm*
this is fantastic. it actually soaks in and hydrates my lips and doesn’t lead to them being dryer afterwards. i’ve been wanting to try all of these new lip balms hitting the western market but i fucking HATED glossier’s balm dot com so much i never wanted to pay a fair chunk of money for crap again. it’s now been reformulated, and is apparently worse, but i don’t know how as i have the original formula and it’s the worst thing i’ve ever used. does not soak it but also makes my lips somehow flakier and drier after. anyway rant over! this balm is not only a lot cheaper than these hyped lip balms but also just works. i only regret not buying more for myself and one for everyone i know that likes a lip balm. already on my HG WRP 5/5 list

**skin1004** *madagascar centella hyalu-cica water fit sun serum spf50+ pa++++*
if western suncreams were like this then i may have actually wanted go wear suncream as a child. this is honestly like not wearing anything atall, it sinks in fast and like an absolute treat, and somehow adds a mattified effect to my skin. being oily, plus using a lot of glowy-looking skincare, my face can end up being pretty shiny and because i don’t wear any complexion makeup that ends up just… being the daily look lmao. this tones that down a little without emphasising any texture or making me look desert dry. i just… really can’t believe something this effective at sun protection exists without feeling like absolute hell on earth to wear lmao. can’t comment on how it sits under complexion makeup, but it sat under eyeshadow and eyebrows just fine, and it didn’t sting my eyes! i wanted to explore more AB sunscreens but honestly there is no need for me to bother as i can’t think of any way that this could be better. WRP

    **cosrx** *acne pimple master patch*
the only good things about these is that they are a physical barrier than stops me from picking my skin, otherwise they are absolutely useless. i wanted acne patches with sone sort of active in them, rather than just a sticky piece of plastic, but i forgot how to read when i added these to my cart. they stay on well, and are pretty hard to detect, but honestly they made the sins they were hiding look worse when i took them off when i wanted the damn things all zapped and dried up. i’m half to blame for buying the wrong thing, but i also do think that these are shit. would love a spot patch recommendation for one that has spot killin’ ingredients in if anyone has them! definitely WNRP but will at least come in handy for bad anxiety spikes where all i want to do is PICK

total: £57.44, stylevana may have slow shipping but i felt like my money went FAR, especially with the freebies!
