I live in an area of Canada where I can’t easily buy Asian makeup unless I travel about an hour or spend too much on shipping. Luckily, an Asian supermarket near me started carrying Dasique eyeshadow palettes. I’ve seen a lot of positive reviews and a YouTuber I enjoy mentioned it in her 2023 favourites. So I decided to grab Peach Squeeze 14 first (there wasn’t a lot of selection that day).

For reference, I am a very pale olive. I’m usually shade 21 or lighter in Korean foundations. So I assumed peach would be nice for my pale skin.
However, I swear it looks like I put nothing on, if it weren’t for the glitter. I layered quite a bit and used every colour except the bottom left one. Each colour (aside from the glitters) somehow looked the same once they hit my skin, so it looks like I used one colour and a glitter. There was also quite a bit of fallout, which surprised me since I saw people say that the formula is “creamy”.

Is this because peach just doesn’t suit my skin tone or are Dasique eyeshadows overhyped? My favourite palettes ever are from 3CE but I can’t get them as easily or affordably now (I used to live in Korea). Is 3CE just that much better?

I’m a little disappointed. How are other’s experiences with their eyeshadow palettes?
