Hi everyone, as you can tell I have a slight addiction to AB lip products and I figured I should use this addiction for good and write reviews of all my lip products! Regardless of the weather, I am constantly slapping on products so that my lips aren’t literally flaking off. My favorite products are very heavy, long wearing, and can be layered on top of lip colors. Hopefully, these reviews are helpful to people as we move into the drier winter months!
##Lip Masks
**Laniege Lip Sleeping Mask – Berry**
This is definitely the most popular AB lip sleeping mask, but I don’t find it all that great. I like how it melts down easily and I like the berry taste, however it leaves my lips more dry after a couple hours. Also if I put this on my lips at night, when I wake up it’s totally gone. I feel like I constantly need to be applying this to keep the moisturizing effect going. I wanted to ask if this has been reformulated in recent years because I remember using this in high school and it was amazing but now it’s just kind of meh 🤷🏻♀️. To me, it’s just an okay lip mask.

**Innisfree Canola Lip Sleeping Mask**
This formula is truely a lip sleeping MASK! It is very thick and almost waxy so it stays on your lips overnight. I feel like this really does seal moisture into your lips, and it’s super heavy so it’s still on my lips in the morning. I’m pretty sure this is unflavored because it just tastes like canola oil, which I don’t love but it’s not a dealbreaker. I also really really dislike pot containers for lip products, but this is so thick I don’t think it would work in a tube. Overall, a solid lip mask that does it’s intended job of healing your lips overnight.

**Klavvu Nourishing Lip Sleeping Pack – Vanilla**
I decided to buy this after I saw it recommended as a better version of the Laneige sleeping mask, and honestly I think it lives up to the hype. It has a very similar texture to the laneige sleeping mask but is slightly thinner and less sticky. The vanilla scent is not noticable to the point where I can’t tell it’s there at all. Unlike the laneige mask, it does it’s intended job of moisturizing my lips and not leaving them dry afterwards. My only complaint is that it seems a bit thin to me to be an overnight mask, it’s more like a thick lip balm. That being said I’ve been using this on top of my lipstick and have been loving it for daily use. I like that it comes in a squeeze tube so I can keep it in my purse or pocket and apply it throughout the day. It has become one of my go-to lip balms and I definitely plan to repurchase!

I was slightly dissapointed in this lip balm as it had many good reviews. I think it did an okay job at moisturizing my lips, but my main problem was that I found it sort of difficult to use. It is a very hard balm, to the point where you have to swipe it on your lips a couple times for it to melt down. This means I couldn’t use it over my lipsticks or lip tints because it would smear them, so I was stuck using it at home when I had no makeup on. I also didn’t like the scent, it smells more like a grandma perfume-y floral than honey. Not necessarily a bad product, just not really the right one for me.

**Apieu Honey Lip Balm (Old Version)**
This is one of the only lip balms where I finished the entire tube!! (I feel like I deserve an award lol) It’s a rich balm with a light scent of honey and it glides very easily. It is very thick, almost like a sleeping pack, so it’s heavy on the lips. I happen to love that in lip products but I know some people prefer very light lip balms. I haven’t tried the newer version of this balm but looking at reviews it seems similar. I have also heard good things about the Apieu Honey Lip Oil so that’s on my to-buy list!

**Rohto Mentholatum Lip Fondue – Aurora 3D Pearl**
I absolutely love this lip balm because it’s giving me Y2K lip smackers nostalgia!! I specifically bought this because it’s a clear lip balm with holographic glitters, and I thought it would look adorable over lipstick or lip tints. It is very very creamy, by far the most emoliant out of all the products mentioned. For that reason it is pretty sticky and bit difficult to work with sometimes, however I think it does a good job of moisturizing my lips and it lasts pretty long. The scent is very nice to me, it smells slightly fruity like lychee and it really completes the lip smackers vibe. My only wish is that this had spf in it then it would be perfect. I’m obviously a little bit biased because of my nostalgia, but I’m a fan of the rohto lip fondue now and I really want to try other colors/flavors!
**4.5/5**
**Rohto Mentholatum Water Lip Tone Up SPF 20 PA++ Pure Red**
This is a red tinted lip balm that leaves a little bit of color on the lips. It is one of my go to lip balms because I can layer it on lip tints or lip sticks and it won’t take away the color. As for the moisturizing properties, it’s a decent balm. It lasts a few hours and doesn’t dry out my lips over time. My only gripe is that the red pigment can stick to dry patches on my lip and look uneven sometimes.
**3.5/5**
**Romand Glasting Melting Balm Coco Nude**
This is somewhere between a lip balm and a lipstick. It does have some moisturizing properties, and lasts for a few hours. I really love this color because it has a “my lips but better” feeling for me, so I use this very often for natural makeup looks. However, I don’t like that it will sort of migrate/bleed outside of my lips if I’m reapplying it often throughout the day. This is pretty expected of a very creamy lip color though, so I occasionally use a lip liner to minimize this.

Thank you for reading to the end of my reviews! I still haven’t found my perfect holy grail lip product so I plan to keep buying more. I want to try the UZU lip treatment, Apieu Honey Lip Oil, Etude House Ginger Sleeping Mask and the Torriden Lip essence. Let me know any more lip recommendations because I want to keep this addiction going!! 😅

That’s a super cute pic OP! Thanks for the reviews! I feel the same about the Rohto Mentholatum lip balms except the fondue, haven’t tried it. Though I love Laneige. It keeps my lips moisturized longer than most and makes them look very nice but now I can’t wait to try the klavu tube I got

I too love the Innisfree sleeping mask over Laniege. Innisfree takes so long to empty it.
