it’s the I <3 Revolution Tasty Avocado Lipstick in “Brunch”
this was one of my first purchases back when i started getting more into makeup (…2 years ago now? eesh). i bought another one in a sort of raspberry color that became one of the few lipsticks i’ve thrown away. the formula is… not great. goes on opaque, thick and slightly shiny, but it feels actively *de*hydrating, and very soon after applying my lips feel drier than before – it starts looking patchy soon, too
this one i stuck with because i liked the color just enough to wear it. sticking to it, like panning in general, has made me realize many things. such as… don’t buy something just because it’s there and it’s cheap and you don’t really care about having it. now i almost exclusively have lipsticks i look forward to choosing from – there’s 2 bullets i can see myself panning, but i like them more than this one 😀
it worked fine as a nude shade (with a lot of reapplying because of the aforementioned) but today it decided it had enough. i still stubbornly smashed the stump back into the container and reapplied it for the rest of the day… now i’m wondering if i should consider this as panned and throw it away, or like… mix it with some vaseline or shea butter? i mean, i like the shade fine, so that might just get around the dehydrating, patchy issues
still, i think i’ll still give me the victory of considering this a panned bullet. 🫡
