I recently got "Your Gaze Is Your Confession" from Lurid as a sort of last polish hurrah (for a little while anyway). I'm due in a few weeks and have a toddler, so I don't expect to have much time for polish over the next several months – especially not magnetics!

I was SO excited to try it. I planned to use this magnetron glass bead setup, which worked amazingly well for my last mani (huge shout out to the person who shared this!). I did one coat of polish unmagnetized, then magnetized the second coat. And for a few minutes I was extremely bummed. It didn't look nearly as good as the swatches I saw. The magnetic effect was barely there. I was actually questioning if I got a bad bottle or something. AND THEN…I realized i was forgetting a tier on the 5D spinner!

I had accidentally attached the top piece directly to the piece that was taped down. I added the extra level, applied my top coat, and magnetized the top coat. And now this polish has a top three spot my collection. Using the extra level made all the difference. I bet it would look even better if I had used it to magnetize the second coat of polish too.

Thanks to everyone who shares great tips and beautiful pictures and videos that constantly influence me! 🙃
