It looks like you have short/wide nail beds and that sharp square shape isn’t doing them any justice. I would try more tapered shapes instead, those will look better on your nails.
I think the super blunt short square nail shape might be what’s making you unhappy with the look! You can try a softer shape next time like almond, oval or even squoval. I think it’ll be a lot more flattering 💞
NO LMFAOO ur nails are not chopped i love short nails. u just have wide nail beds which ppl usually do longer lengths to compensate but i love the length
So you’re totally on the right track with doing builder gel, this technique has helped my nails natural shape so much!! I used to bite my nails a ton and since doing builder gel they’ve transformed from short and wide to long and not as narrow as I’d like but waaaay better.
Keep with it and be consistent, don’t pick at your nails or anything and especially try not to use them as tools like to open things, and you’ll be on a great path!!
i have short wide nail beds too and tbh i think your manicurist just hates you 😭😭 jk lol but just ask for them to make your nail a bit narrower and pick a better shape (round or oval)
