I’ve started using the Mary&May peptide serum recently because I wanted to try incorporating peptides in my routine, so I got the 30ml bottle to try it out. It’s too early for me to tell if it’s doing anything for my skin (I know peptides take time to show results) but I like the minimal ingredient list, so if it ends up working well for me I’d likely continue using it. They have a jumbo version which is more cost-effective, but the bottle is very different from the standard size which seems odd to me 🤔

I’m curious as to why the jumbo version is in a clear bottle while the 30ml is in a more opaque, brown bottle. I’ve been trying to do some research and it seems that peptides degrade with exposure to light and air (link to Paula’s Choice article about peptides) so it’s better to avoid products in clear containers; if this is the case I wonder why Mary&May, and other brands with peptide products, use clear containers? Why only use an opaque bottle for the 30ml and not the jumbo too, especially when the majority of the few ingredients in the serum are peptides?

Anyone have any thoughts on this?
