I’ve been seeing a lot about treatments like microneedling and nano-infusion that are supposed to stimulate collagen, and I came across an article explaining how the real changes don’t happen instantly.. there’s an early glow, but the more noticeable improvements in firmness and texture are expected to build gradually over weeks as collagen remodeling kicks in. For those who’ve tried it consistently, did you actually notice a more youthful look over time, or is the difference more subtle than people make it seem?

  1. Yeah, but it’s not a one and done thing. The people who see results usually stick to a full series over a few months. That’s when collagen actually has time to build up and you start noticing smoother texture and a bit more firmness

I always wonders why Koreans and Japanese looks so young. .. is it that they eat collagen?

  3. Microneedling itself is just a more effective way to deliver active ingredients.

There’re lots of other ways of enhancing natural collagen stimulation, and you generally won’t need it if you’re capable of sticking to a routine. The effects are not going to be drastic and permanent (you’re probably thinking of skin fillers), but it does have some limited use, i.e., a certain celebrity swore for it as at the time the only effective way to rejuvenate hands, where nothing else really works as effectively. It delivers better results the closer you get to 40, compared to younger skin.

With microneedling, you’re basically trading off a portion of at-home maintenance for regular salon procedures, year after year, you won’t be able to get it done twice and be like “oh, that’s enough fresh collagen, I’m done with the glowing up… for now.”
