TW: Mentions about nail biting

Also note that I posted this on another subreddit but was removed due to standards and restrictions.

Please respect my post. It is my first time posting here and I am very proud of my own milestone. This is the longest length of finger nails that I have. As evident, my nail bed is very short and the line which starts my "free" nail has very obvious marks that it went a rough past. I was very fond of biting my nails since I was a child until I grow up. It became my comfort that makes me calm up until I entered the employment world. Despite the feelings , it makes me feel shy when I do tasks that requires hands like typing on a keyboard. I always made attempts to improve my fingernails but I always fail. Just this time that it becames longer than I had before because I do not find myself unconsciously biting it. This has maybe because I am less stressed since I had a better job (not high paying but manageable salary) and starting also my weight loss journey.

Any advises that you can give like how to prevent the nails to chip off or any designs you can recommend. I am actually consider on getting acrylic nail arts with almond or oval shape. Or just let my natural nail be styled. I will appreciate any feedbacks.

P.S. I am not a native English speaker. I humbly ask to please excuse my grammar.
