have semi sensitive combination skin, leaning on the dry side coming out of winter. Prone to closed comedones, my barrier isn't wrecked but it's not great.. I'd say I'm 50% there.
To fix my dry skin and barrier I've tried… skin fix triple lipid peptide cream, vanicream in the tub, torriden 5D intensive serum and cream, an*a PDRN HA serum and cream, roundlab birch tree moisturizer, byoma moisturizing gel ( irritated my skin), byoma hydrating barrier oil, iliyoon ceramide ato LOTION, cerave moisturizer.
All of that and I still wake up with dry skin in the morning : ( albeit my skin is not flaking but sometime it's a little tight.
I'm also wanting to start a retinoid again to help my skin texture. I accidentally used too strong of one so I'm going back to the basics
Ultimately Im trying to decide which sunscreen would be safe to get and which moisturizer cream could work. Any other product reccs are welcome!

i love the illiyoon for my dry skin and sensitive skin! another good option is the aestura moisturizer
b/c some of these won’t ship for 30 days, none of them will ship for 30 days, remove them.
I wouldn’t get the Numbuzin clear filter sun essence because of ethics, it has an ingredient called velvet extract, which they scrape off of soft, growing deer antlers
Tocobo cica sunscren feels nice on the skin, but the bottle is hard to press.
Biore watery essence goes on very nice and dry, but if you’re sensitive to the smell of alcohol, maybe reconsider. Also, it turns very shiny on my skin after several hours (oily acne-prone skin).
I wouldn’t purchase both Haruharu and Purito soft touch at the same time, they’re both semi-dry (not too oily, not too matte). If you really want to try both, I’d suggest the mini version of the Purito. Personally, as someone with oily acne-prone skin, I prefer the Canmake mermaid skin gel and the BOJ relief sun aqua fresh.
If your skin is very sensitive and dry right now, I’d be careful about adding in retinol or anything new right now. Healing your skin barrier right now is very important.
If you have sensitive skin then I would say the Biore Sunscreen is a bad fit. Chemical sunscreens overall can be more stripping to sensitive skin, but that one in particular has denatured alcohol in it and absolutely wrecked my skin. The Purito SEOUL Daily Soft Touch Sunscreen is a combination chemical and mineral sunscreen and is what I have on the way to try for myself, so I think that’s a better shot of working for you.
I cannot recommend the app SkinSort highly enough while you’re going through finding products for a permanent routine. You can make shelves for what you do and don’t like, compare products easily to find ingredients you’re sensitive to, make routines that you can track daily, get recommendations for products that are similar to ones you’re trying if that one isn’t a perfect fit, and follow other people with your skin issues to see what they’re trying and rating before you buy. It’s $40 for a year’s subscription and completely revolutionized my skincare. https://apps.apple.com/us/app/skinsort-skincare-scanner/id6478040418
