Is this a normal amount of growth/lifting after 1 week?

This is my first time getting SNS (was told this would last more than shellac that barely lasted 1 week before lifting and chipping) and have only had my nails done a handful of times so I’m completely clueless.

I noticed it catching in my hair and things a few days ago so tried to file the bits lifting closest to the cuticles…

Is this normal? I cannot keep this up weekly 😅😭

Your nails probably grow faster than the typical persons. Usually takes a couple weeks before they need filled but some people’s nails grow faster than others.

Growth is normal! Lifting not so much. If its lifted id recommend removing soon because trapped moisture under your nails won’t be pretty.

  3. Everyone’s nails grow differently. Yours might just grow very fast. Or the product was not applied close enough to the cuticle and the gap that was there from the beginning is more noticeable now that your nails have grown a bit.

What’s bad though is the fact that they seem to already be lifting so that your hair gets stuck. That is due to improper prep and they also look to be too thick in the cuticle area which is a major cause for lifting.

I sometimes get hair catching at my cuticle… and it’s usually because I flooded the cuticle area a little with the top coat. It may not be “lifted”.
