I always think the pointy almond shapes are so gorgeous when y'all post them, so I had to try out a shortie version. Sadly, I've discovered they are a sensory nightmare on my own hands, so off they gooo

On the nails: base coat, 1x Cracked ridge filler, 3x Polished for Days – Catch my Drift, Essie gel couture top coat.

  2. I just ordered A LOT of PfD but this wasn’t even on my radar. On the wishlist it goes…

a couple of mine broke and i was so sad i wouldn’t be able to shape them like that anymore… thank you for proving me wrong!

  4. I’ve tried the short and pointy shape so many times over the years, but like you, I find them to be a sensory nightmare😩 I’m autistic and I’m so sensitive to little things like that because of it, but it makes me so sad because the short and pointy style is so cute and looks so good with sparkly polishes. I just can’t deal with constantly getting my nails hooked on things lol. Sometimes I do shape my thumb nails in a slightly pointier shape, because I find that they don’t bother me as much, as long as the rest of my nails are my normal square

  5. The number of manicures I have lost because they were aesthetic yesses but sensory nopes is tremendous. I’ll have them grown out a lil bit and then have an off day and we’re back to stumpytown lol. Beautiful manicure, regardless, it’s a great color on you!

I just had to clip all mine down. I have to every spring and fall with the change of seasons. It’s nice seeing shorties here too. This motivates me to still make em pretty

I love this shape and want to do it but my nails don’t lay flat they curve. So pretty and beautiful mani.
