So the nail tech had like a list, u could pick from of what she wanted to practice. I just said mix and match short almond using builder gel, and the rest up to her discretion. I did this cuz I loved the work she had on her page, and seemed really artistic. So I paid my £10 deposit and was supposed to give her £25 on the day. I went the nail prep was nice, and she got started. She checked my nails and thought square would suit my nails more than short almond. And I was up for it, cuz I don’t usually do nails. So she said she’d switch up the design a bit cuz it’s square now, I loved the initial design on the almond, so thought it’d translate well to square. Guys I wanted to trust the process, but some nails are shorter than others. Some way thicker the designs are kinda not great (except the black nail, chrome nail and flower nail). She was really nice but this visually doesn’t look that good. She took a £5 off cuz she didnt like how thick they were. I have adhd so I wasn’t like really focused on the nails, and more so getting out the chair and going home, cuz it took 3 and a half hours. Am I tripping cuz im not used to nails or is this not visually appeasing and a little poorly done?
Edit: would it be cheeky of me to ask for a refund or a partial refund. Or should I just firm it as a life lesson…

Okay before reading I thought these were really cute! I don’t normally gravitate to the more trapezoid or duck shape but they are a vibe.
I can’t comment on the application or services (it could be better) but once I read what you hoped for, what was communicated… and how she described these as SQUARE! I’m so sorry 😭
I’m glad she took 5 off but damn 3.5 hours! Still very fun and it’s not permanent.

I just wish newbie nail techs would learn to get the foundation right and practice that on people before they concentrate on nail art.
