I’m still getting the hang of magnetic technique, but the color play on these had me staring at my fingers all week. I wasn’t expecting the By Azura to be so variable under the chrome, but something about the color theory of it all meant based on the lighting I’d get everything from light sage green to bright turquoise to cobalt blue shining out of there. Crazy.

    The process: *Deep breath*

Base coat, Essie gel couture matte topcoat, 2x BKL By Azura! (glass bead style using the Cherry Hill spinner), Sally Hansen insta dry topcoat in the red bottle (also magnetized), Orly rubberized base coat (got 2ndhand, we don’t support JKR supporters in this house), Alchemy Dust “Rosy Dawn” applied chrome style (gently rubbed on using a makeup sponge), DIY peely base (~60% Elmer’s clear glue : 40% isopropyl alcohol 70%), Essie gel couture topcoat.

  2. Love this! Do you find that the topcoat peels when you put the Elmers layer underneath it?
