Help please!
I have never had my nails done at a salon before but I have a work trip coming up and want to get them done.
I feel a bit lost about what all the options mean and what is best for my nails/the result I’m looking for. (My nails and inspo below)
I ideally want to keep my natural nails long, and I believe acrylics require your nails to be cut right back. I have also heard about biab nails but I’m not sure if this works when you need some length added.
I want to keep my nails as healthy as possible – although I understand both these options can be damaging!
Please could I have advice on what service I should be looking for!
Thanks in advance!!

They should be able to keep your nails while adding length by using BIAB or gel-x tips. BIAB is a gel that they overlay on your natural nails to add strength, and the length they add by using some sort of “paper” or “dual” forms on your nails. Gel x tips are made of “soft gel” already, and they adhere them to your natural nail with a gel base coat. So the length is built in. Just be careful when removing if you aren’t going to keep up with the manicures after. Look up videos or go back to the salon for removal, they won’t just wipe off with acetone and will require a bit more work by buffing the nail, etc.
Make sure you leave understanding the products they used for base, extensions, and color! If they use “hard gel” it won’t come off with acetone at all, whereas “soft gel” can be safely removed at home with a bit of research.
