Disclaimer, didn’t pan it all myself 💧. A friend was decluttering this, which I saw and became determined to finish – it was about 75% done when given to me.
Mixed feelings about this lol. This particular product is very nostalgic for me – I remember my mom using the Lip Glows around 10 years ago, when these first came out. The vanilla-mint scent is favorable to me as it brings back a lot of memories 😄
The balm itself is just okay to me, there are newer formulas that I much prefer. I like super glossy, hydrating formulas like Laneige’s. This one is harder and waxier in comparison, but very long-lasting which is a plus. I also don’t like the color-changing pigment too much, on me they always turn a very intense pink. It does wear though so it can look somewhat natural.
I would have still kept trying to pan this if not for my growing allergy, to what I believe is Red 40 dye 😅. I have reacted to this pigment in other products as well, which usually shows up as “Red Lake Pigment” in many ingredient lists. I believe it is commonly used as a vegan replacement for carmine.
***If anyone has any suggestions for any cosmetics that don’t use “lake pigments”, please let me know*** ✨. I think Glossier might not, but idk of other brands.
