Product list (clockwise from top left): moody lenses (Oud Wood, Rabbit Pink, Camellia Brown, Ripple, Wisteria Grey, Pinewood Cabin), kitty kawaii in molly brown
I'm back with more reviews on coloured contacts! I picked up a LOT of Moody lenses during my recent travels to China, as well as one from Thailand. I have dry, sensitive eyes, so I'm really picky about my contacts. In general, the comfort between Moody lenses varies a lot, depending on the manufacturing site. I've only tried two contacts brands from Thailand (one isn't pictured here) and they were both fantastic. But do note that Thailand is more into monthlies; it was a struggle for me to find dailies.
Overall, I still love my Taiwanese lenses the best, but since it's so hard to get them outside of Taiwan, certain lines / colours from Moody were good alternatives! I've included the Mandarin names from Moody since it's really hard to hunt down the specific variations if you're navigating Taobao.

Moody lenses in Ripple – 4.2/5 ⭐️
If I were to only get one shade from Moody, it'd be this. It makes my eyes look super pretty and sparkly, but it isn't so overwhelming that you'd need to plan a whole look around it (although it will look odd without makeup). They're from the Disco series (I think), and I can definitely see why. wore these for ~8 hours before they started to feel dry. -
Moody lenses in Wisteria Grey – 4/5⭐️
Ripple's more mysterious cousin, with a hint of lavender in the inner ring that makes your eyes look hazy. This one is also really pretty! If you have darker eyes the purple tinge doesn't really show up, and will be more greyish in real life. I also wore these for about ~8 hours comfortably. -
Moody lenses in Pinewood Cabin – 2.5/5 ⭐️
These were so drying. I couldn't go for more than 2 hours without feeling like ripping my eyeballs off. Colour-wise, they're a super "natural" type, being only 12.5mm wide in colour diameter, whereas Ripple and Wisteria Grey were 13.4mm wide. The slight illusion of fragmented light around the edges were really pretty, but I also felt like my eyes were getting fragmented, so I'd pass on this. -
Moody lenses in Oud Wood – 4/5 ⭐️
The store assistant recommended me this colour, and it's a slightly cooler toned brown perfect for everyday looks (and it really suits my hair colour!) It's not as comfortable as the Ripple or Wisteria Grey variations, but I managed to wear this for about 8 hours as well. -
Moody lenses in Rabbit Pink – 3.8/5 ⭐️
One of their Zootopia collabs! This is advertised as a pink-brown, but I feel like the pink is only visible under very specific lighting. I'd recommend this for those who want to try slightly different colours, but don't dare to go too bold yet. I wore this for about 6 hours before they got really dry. However they didn't sit super nicely on my eyes either, and I probably wouldn't repurchase this. -
Moody lenses in Camellia Brown – 4/5 ⭐️
For some reason I expected this to look a lot less bold, but when I got it my eyes looked straight up red under certain lightings. Like Rabbit Pink, this one is advertised as a pink-brown, though the colour is a lot more obvious here. I wore this comfortably for about 6 hours before they started drying up.
- Kitty Kawaii in Molly Brown – 4.5/5 ⭐️
My absolute fave out of this bunch! If you've seen my previous review, these are like the prettier, sparklier version of Mature by Largan, and they're just as comfortable! The only downside is that they were quite pricey, since each box only came with 6 pieces. I am definitely stocking up on these the next time I'm in Thailand.
TLDR; Product ranking:
1. Molly Brown
2. Ripple
3. Wisteria Grey
4. Oud Wood
5. Camellia Brown
6. Rabbit Pink
7. Pinewood Cabin
