Did the same thing last weekend trying to save my phone from falling. Took my nail polish off to find a crack all the way across my pinky nail. Luckily it didn’t go all the way through the nail, so its still intact. Wishing you the same luck!
I typically use gorilla glue when I’ve had an ugly break. It’s not ideal, but it dries rock hard, doesn’t dissolve or wear away, and generally lasts until the nail grows out unless I purposefully soak it in acetone. I’ve used it when I’ve snagged my nail while shaving and gotten those nightmare “down to the middle of the bed” breaks. It can be filed smooth very easily once cured, or left in a thicker layer for security.
So dangerous. And potentially devastating. 😳😭
