3x Holo Taco Sunset Simulation
1x Cracked QDTC
I love this color. I love it in the bottle. But I hate the way it looks on me – is it a skin tone thing? Do I just want something brighter? Can you pinpoint why I’m just not feeling it?
I guess I get a second new mani today lol

Sometimes that’s just how it is. It could be a skin tone thing or a colors you’re used to seeing on your hands thing or a cannot be described Just Not Feeling It thing. It’s ok to hate some polishes. I hate some really popular ones, it happens 😝
I’m like this with colors that are too pink, because they blend in too well with my skin tone.
Is it a sheer polish? You could try it over a dark color, like a dark red.
Maybe that slight orange shine that’s making it blend more into your skin tone. I’m not sure, I don’t really like how chrome type polishes look on me in general because the ridges show easier on me and the colors have like a dry effect which I also don’t like on me haha
This happens to me sometimes with polishes that have a golden shimmer to it. I love how they look in bottles but not on me at all
Maybe you’d prefer it as an accent nail or two? And do the rest a darker purple color? Could look cool and sunset-y like that!
Put it away and try it again in two months. You might feel very differently about it!
it is pretty, but i think i understand
i have several colors that are gorgeous in the bottle and on other people, but on me they’re just… no.
on me, they’re a lot of ones that have a gold/bronze/brown sort of undertone or shimmer.
and, for reference, i’m a very pale, fair olive.
Yeah I’ve just resigned myself to the fact that I sometimes buy polishes that I love in the bottle but do not like the color on my hand. I do force myself to do a full mani to decide for sure.
I only like this polish during late summer into autumn. I find it is one that really varies based on my skin tone throughout the year.
You all are the best – so many great ideas thank you so much❤️❤️❤️
These HT polishes are good for layering. You could try it over a coordinating cream color and see if you like it better.
