I realized recently that I was letting the BKL FOMO affect how I used my own BKL polishes!! I have scarcity mentality and I’ve been scared to use stuff I couldn’t replace!! Well, this is me conquering that fear (starting to).
Working up to hopefully finally cracking open my bottle of Bog Dweller, the FOMO final boss.

I used to have this mentality then finally realized how silly it is. You could die tomorrow and every day is a gift! Use the things! Wear the clothes, the shoes, the polish etc! Being here alive today is a special enough day. And also, there will always be new polishes, new favorites etc.
The online forum for an indie fragrance brand I’m fond of has a section called something like “It’s Wear Your Rares Day! (otherwise known as Tuesday)”
I’m the same way — I sometimes have to remind myself that any day can be Wear Your Rares Day and that’s the whole reason I bought the thing in the first place.
