It took me 2 days to search these facewash and moisturizer for my skin type and I asked chatgpt and gemini to rank them from the best to least best. I gave same prompts to both but damn the difference.
Cetaphil, La roche-posay and cerave is what chatgpt is giving me top 3 but gemini is totally keeping it at last
(Lemme tell my skin type is normal to very sensitive. Easily red. Not acne prone. Barrier sensitive or reactive like turns red after pressure. Skin is clear without any skincare)

A great showcase of why nobody should use AI LLMs for advice.
girl…
girl it told u to relax 💀
why
Let me just say, LLMs don’t necessarily provide you correct info. They organize words into what looks the best, more or less. You could ask this same question on different days or with different devices and accounts and get completely different lists. Furthermore, you asking two LLMs and getting wildly different answers is evidence of this.
It also doesn’t take into account where it gets the information its providing from, unless you ask it to cite direct sources (and usually, in my experience, LLMs are bad at doing this).
In general, lists like this will always be very hard to standardize. Someone might only tolerate Cerave, whereas someone else can’t stand it at all. And that goes for all products of any brand.
