She made some video with some extremely weird and nonsensical explanation of why her makeup always looks bad and it’s like…if you know it looks bad fix it?

I don’t think she knows how to do makeup, she’s not a makeup artist. But I do think she’s very knowledgeable about product formulations since that’s her background. Some of what she says I agree with and others I don’t, just like with any other influencer, take what they say with a grain of salt.

she says this makes her ~real because it’s how women really wear their makeup. like lady are you a professional or not? i’m not going to go to a hairdresser with fucked up roots, am I?

    4. I thought they were cute 3-4 years ago when they started their schtick but they’ve fallen into a category that I can only describe as flanderization. where they’re trying to do the original bit of educating folks on the behind the scenes and science of makeup but now they’ve been eaten by the capitalism goblin and only do not advertised sponsorship where now theyre just shilling shit they get paid for

no seriously i tried to get into them more because i did learn some stuff from their short form content here and there…. but like her shit looks wrecked every single time i see her on my feed. her colors have never ever ever been right once ever in her entire career lmfao

I just don’t ever feel like I understand what she’s saying. Sometimes their clips will come up on my YouTube shorts and I’ll watch them and they’re hard to follow. She just information dumps and acts like she’s so knowledgeable but it’s confusing and frankly I don’t think she even understands what she’s pushing.

Her makeup is bad but that is talked about to death at this point.

    7. Oh yeah, I really liked her content at one point but then a few years ago I just got this vibe of her being disingenuous and that turned me off completely! It’s like she polices every aspect of make up and very authoritative! Her makeup always looks so dry and heavy I don’t get it

Not that I’m a professional MUA myself but how is her makeup orange, pink and tan at the same time?! The “Neopolitan ice cream” look is best left to…ice cream.

They’re not makeup artists and they don’t do tutorials so who cares what their makeup looks like

Thank you!! Finally someone said it. Her makeup is much better now than several months ago. Confidence is great but who made her the authority and can she tell us why she had to start a channel instead of keep working in the industry? What happened? How can she possibly know everything considering her/their ages? lol.

    11. Everything she says is a word salad. I roll my eyes when she comes across my FYP. It’s like “ma’am go fix your ratched-ass makeup, fake orange tan, and learn to color match.”

Do we ever see the other lesbian? I don’t watch them because the know it all attitude about formulas when her background is marketing turned me off.

    13. She never said she was a makeup artist, formulation and marketing is what she does. Most make-up artists would not know how make-up is made. Different aspect of the business.

I have also seen Wayne Goss use orange foundation in a video of his, orange foundation and complexion products are a major 2020s trend which i hope goes away soon. I use a lot of Korean makeup products at the moment because they have non orange products that work on my fair skin.

    14. I used to like them but when they were explaining away the obvious faults with a Patrick Ta product (the powder fell out the pan) I just felt like they had been lying to their customer base and taking us for fools. Trust is so important and I just don’t trust them anymore.

    15. Queens of word salad. Verbatim quote from a recent post: “Theres definitely an ingredient story in here”
