I recently started using the SK-II Genoptics CC Primer (Rosy) i got from Japan but found out i’m expecting 🥹
I wasn’t able to figure out if the Japanese version was safe for pregnancy and was wondering if anyone could help out! If not, are there any recommendations? I also stocked up on the Astalift D-UV shield (rose) but im not sure about that one either

the only filter that isn’t safe for pregnancy is Homoslate, which is used way more in American formulations. I would ask your doctor this question if you have easy access to one as they’ll be the authority
let me look into the ingredients but Japanese sunscreens rarely use Homoslate and if they do it’s under 10% which has been ruled as safe for pregnant women
I highly doubt there’s anything in this that’s contraindicated for pregnancy, especially since that list is quite short and a main function of your skin is to keep foreign substances out of your body. However if you’re concerned, look up an ingredient translation and ask your doctor for their thoughts. Ratzilla may have it on her blog. Congratulations on the pregnancy!
