You ever just try a recommended or suggested combo from a brand and feel like “Why didn’t I do this sooner?”.
That’s me with Cobalt Dreams and Pinky Swear from Emily de Molly. And it’s not that I expected it to be a bad combo, but you just get polishes and try out random stuff and sometimes you don’t get around to trying what they show on the site or maybe you’re not immediately interested.
I think I’ve gotten so caught up in polishes with shimmer throughout that I forgot just how magical a cream with a shimmer on top could be look.
Now it wasn’t my intention to try it—I’d just put on Cobalt Dreams, messed up a couple of fingers, and I didn’t want to do a third coat to try to fix them.😅 But after messing up, I looked at my topper shelf and thought “may as well.”
It’s mesmerizing.

1 coat Emily de Molly Pinky Swear
1 coat Mooncat Speed Demon top coat
Life has been lifing, so I haven’t had time to do proper swatches in various lighting, but I have been taking photos in the wild (lol, in my apartmet and at work) I couldn’t not share this.

Pinky Swear looks so nice!! I’ve been layering pink shimmer on things a lot lately, but I just use a Sally Hansen pink shimmer topper and it only adds a subtle pink effect… might need to get Pinky Swear once I use up this bottle!
