Some of you may remember the post where I received a box of polishes that were thrown into a plastic bag and into a too big box and shipped with no buffer or bubble or anything.

This week, I finally got around to attempting to restore the busted bottle of Through the Wormhole from that batch.
I had already used my exacto knife to carefully scrape every bit of dried polish from the unbroken bottles and peeled as much as I could off the plastic bag inside. I used my fingers to crumble the pieces as small as possible and added them to a clean opi bottle and added thinner. then, I added thinner to the broken bottle, put the broken piece back in place, and wrapped it in plastic wrap.
After a couple of days, I unwrapped it and scraped as much off as I could using a tiny metal scraper and wrapped it again. the next day, it had softened up enough that the mixing balls were loose, so I scraped as much as I possibly could into a small pyrex bowl to check for any bits of glass. There weren't any so I added it all to the opi bottle, put a little more thinner in, mixed it up good, and let it set another day. Last night, it was ready to test.

Not at all a bad rescue from what would have been 100% trash!

Incredible and absolutely worth saving!
I have to do the other one, now!
And I take back the no bubble, it had a tiny piece in there, it’s just been a couple of months and I forgot 😅
