I've just been jamming them into things a lot recently and I really hate how it feels when your nail bends, but doesn't break. I just painted my nails a few days ago and I really love this polish. So I'm torn between wanting to keep my Mani for a little while longer, while also wanting to cut them short)): I'm wearing HT Pink Smoothing BC x1, Cracked Fermented x3, HT Glossy TC

  1. Yes! Mine grow pretty fast so it’s just a never ending cycle for me. I don’t usually go quite as long as a lot of people in this sub, though. I work with little kids and it can just get gross and unwieldy 😝

    Short nails = freedom

I love the look of long nails but they give me the sensory yucky feelings, I often grow them a bit and impulsively cut them off after they annoy me enough 😅 I admire everyone else’s long nails though

This is beautiful. I was eyeing this one on Black Friday, but didn’t get it. It looks great on you.

My nails are always short, but when they get longer than I’m used to, I want to cut them because they’ll keep bumping into things in a way. I’m not used to. Right now I feel a conflict because they’re driving me crazy, but they look nicer with polish than they usually do because they’re a little longer. But they still don’t extend beyond my fingertips! 😕

  4. Mine aren’t nearly as long and I had to shorten my right hand due to chips 😭 one of the nails on my left is very bendy so I’ve been thinking about chopping them too

No because my nails don’t grow that way but I’m jealous. I wish I could grow your shape!

  6. Yes! Whenever I start getting painful bending I figure it means they’re too long for me (and how i use my hands) & shorten. Also I’d rather do this before I get a break

  7. Yup! Usually I end up chopping them off once it starts interfering with my gaming or typing. So maybe after about a month or so? It gets annoying when my nail continuously slips between the keys or I have to reposition how I rest my hands to play properly. Queue hand cramps and pain from non-ergonomic positioning… Don’t get me started on the pain that radiates up the tip of the nail from all the key tapping. Ugh.

I love the long look, but shorter ones really do have me living life freely. The black hole that is my purse is no longer a threat. Nor are doors, cans, or anything else I can possibly touch.

  8. I just did with the intention of growing them back out stronger! + I do love a cute magnetic skittle on shorty nails.

  9. I cut mine off recently after breaking one of them. While I prefer them longer, it’s been fun baving them short temporarily since i have certain colors that I think look better on short nails.
