Still on the hunt for a MLBB shade so please send some recommendations!!!
So it’s been a month or so and I started making swatch pictures of the lippies on my lips. I have also since spoken to a MUA who colour matched me to the NARS creamy concealer in M1 custard and she said I had slight olive overtones. I had always thought I was neutral leaning slightly cool toned.
I also had to redo the lip swatches because the lighting is horrific in some of them (no idea why I even bothered to take pics of them but also there’s never sun here in London).
Dinto Ave Maria: very close to my natural lip colour but it pulls weirdly purple/lilac IRL. The formula is nice, super light weight and quite slippery and hydrating but it weirdly has tiny black bits in it. In my previous post I showed how it looks separated in the bottle and it’s still like that lol. It’s not in the first swatch because I lost it for a week 😭
Cipicipi Azuki Pudding: feels comfortable on the lips but not as hydrating or long lasting as dinto. I usually can’t really tell how long or staining products are on my lips after a few hours but I can definitely tell that this lippie completely disappears after 3 hours of wear. But also don’t quote me on this lol maybe I used a less on my lips because the colours darker but I like this shade because it has a hint of brown in it and when sheered out, looks like a really good MLBB. I do feel like its potentially a tiny bit too cool toned on me though…
JLT: almond rose looks full on orangey-brown on me. And I also need to do another swatch with just breeze fig but I’ve almost run out of it lol. I don’t think I’d repurchase though just because it dries my lips out and I’d rather something more hydrating.
Last pic is just what I usually do everyday. I know putting a lip balm on top of these basically removed the tinting power but my lips get so crusty and dry here I’d rather sacrifice that.

Laka lip tint in 124 Maro
Dinto mini 253 Ad Veritas (NOW THIS looks like the absolute perfect dream muted MLBB. My sister is in Japan atm and I’ve asked her to hunt this down for me. It’s a shame it’s only in the mini form).
Anyways we need to start a petition for brands to also put in a proper saturation/tint/tone scale. I want more muted lippies 😭 not full on bright ones
