I got my nails done yesterday. I wanted a white to pink ombre. I have dip powder on my natural nail. The artist used a French nail natural pink base and air brushed the white on using a gel polish. It's been less than 24 hours and they are already chipped. Should I go back to have them fix it?
I told him these are going to be my new years nails and possible engagement nails.

Totally get these fixed, and get that excess product off your cuticles❤️
I’d definitely go back and have them redo the whole thing honestly.
You should definitely go back, chipping should not happen in less than 24 hr.
definitely go back
The only time it could chip is if you nail has hairline cracks that lead to a break. But since you said you have a dip base, then it’s def on the tech. Also cuticle work isn’t the best. I’d go somewhere else and take the L because going back may give the same result.
What a cool color. Going to borrow this for next time- thanks! 😍 And hell no… her get right back in there.
They probably forgot to file the free edge after airbrushing. Though I would not go back to a salon that airbrushes with gelpolish, it’s super unsafe. If you want airbrush make sure they use water based paints 🫶🏼
I would honestly go to a different nail artist, my gel nails chip after 3 weeks not 1 day
Beyond the chipping, the excess product and lack of cuticle work is unacceptable.
Thank you everyone. I honestly didn’t even realize the cuticle work until now. I was fixated too much on the chips! I will definitely be going back tomorrow to get this fixed. I won’t go back to this salon again, but I will not be taking the L because these cost $80
Lol….no…..that’s not normal. They look like they’re very poorly done as welll
I’d ask for a refund honestly and go elsewhere. If they refuse the refund and offer a redo, ask for a more experienced tech!
Not normal and they are so pretty! Please make them fix at no charge.
Definitely get your money back if you can and go somewhere else. If they’ll only offer a fix, make sure to get another tech because the one you had clearly does not know how to do proper prep!
