I’ve been going to the same nail lady for about 4 years.
For the past year or so, I’ve noticed that anytime I go in for a fill and she drills everything off the nail to put a new nude base on, there’s these dark lines that go up and down the fake nail, and even when she puts the new nude base on, they still show through. (You’d think after all these years of getting my nails done on a consistent basis I’d learn the correct terminology for this stuff, but alas, I do not – its the thick, pink, goopy base she puts all over the nail after drilling the old design off).
At first I thought that maybe these lines are from the old sets and show the natural nails re-growth, but even if it’s my first fill after getting a brand new set done, there are still multiple lines that appear.
The lines are not on my actual nail, just the fake nail.
I’ve never had this issue before up until this past year or so, and the lines only show if I have a nude base. I’m not sure if she changed her base to something that is more translucent or what. Ive also noticed that her other clients have the same thing based on the photos she uploads of her work to social media.
Does anyone know why or what this could be? My nail lady is incredibly talented, always goes the extra mile to ensure her nail art and shape is spot on, but I’m not sure what’s going on with this.
