    Please recommend an icy blue


    I am in search of an icy, wintry blue! Here are some that I’m eyeing and what I like/don’t like about them

    -Saber tooth by mooncat: I love the glowy vibes of this one, but have heard it’s not very shimmery irl and is difficult to work with. Gets pretty mixed reviews overall, and is expensive.

    -Elsa by ILNP. I love the sparkle of this one, and think it looks great in their swatches, but don’t like the metallic/foil look that the micro flakes give it in real photos

    -pb and blue jay: Been eyeing this one for a while, but I’m worried it looks a little too grey and I think I want some sparkle

    -only miss the sun when it starts to snow (gll) so far this is my top because of the sparkle and shimmer, but since the base is charcoal/white, I’m worried the blue won’t show up that well irl and there are only pr swatches right now. I usually stay away from thermals, but I prefer the cold state I think so I don’t mind if it dies.

      FWIW the GLL is only available until December 12 so it’s only available for a limited time whereas the others will be around for a long time after. I dunno whether that makes you want to get it more or less but figured this info is good to point out

      ILNP
      [Carried Away](https://www.ilnp.com/carried-away-creamy-periwinkle-blue-holographic-jelly-nail-polish) – This one is the kind of color that I wanted, but it seemed a bit plain to me
      [Elsa](https://www.ilnp.com/elsa-icy-light-blue-holographic-shimmer-nail-polish/) – I really like the finish of this one, but I heard that it pulls almost silver which I wasn’t sure about
      [Up Above](https://www.ilnp.com/up-above-creamy-pastel-sky-blue-shimmer-jelly-nail-polish-creamy-pastel-sky-blue-flakie-shimmer-nail-polish/) – I really like the color of this and the flakeys, I just wish there were more flakeys
      [Tidal Wave](https://www.ilnp.com/tidal-wave-cornflower-blue-ultra-holographic-nail-polish/) – This one it a bit periwinkle, but I love blurples 🙂
      [Winter Dream](https://www.ilnp.com/winter-dream-lavender-blue-ultra-metallic-nail-polish/) – This one is lavender blue, but if I had to go with one of the ILNPs I would get this one 🙂

      Polished for Days
      [Enchanted to Meet You](https://www.polishedfordays.com/product-page/enchanted-to-meet-you) – I ended up getting this one, and I love how blue it is. PFD is closed until Jan though
      [Little Star](https://www.polishedfordays.com/product-page/little-star) – This one is from the latest collection and is more grey leaning than Enchanted

      Holo Taco
      [Sparkling Water](https://www.holotaco.com/products/sparkling-water) – This one also felt wintery to me, but it felt a bit too expensive

      Sabertooth is one of my most used polishes. By itself as well as I put it under everythingggggg! A must have. Elsa is also gorgeous, but doesn’t pull very blue on me.

      On Repeat by ILNP is also beautiful, with a great formula and doesn’t get enough love.

      I feel like sabertooth is one of the ones I see in destashes a lot, people do tend to either love or hate it. I love it, I feel like it’s a lot more icy than the photos, but I prefer that. Definitely a classic Mooncat switching bait with the more teal glow though tbh. That being said, it was my first matte polish and I absolutely adore it. It’s less matte than a really nice satin, so I feel like it is a little easier to work with.
