TLDR; I need to find a discontinued Elizabeth Arden blush and get it to New Zealand (in used condition is fine) to make a Christmas miracle happen for my Mum.
My Mum had been through a lot this year and I wanted to be extra thoughtful for Christmas. She mentioned she needed new makeup recently but it was too expensive, and then the next day I noticed two pieces of old makeup (a blush and creme foundation) on the kitchen bench. I assumed she’d gone to repurchase them, but when I looked online it turns out the blush has been discontinued. It’s the Elizabeth Arden beautiful colour radiance blush in the shade terrarose 10. She has been using it since I was a little girl, and I’m 29 now. It is her favourite, and the only blush that she likes. It’s her holy grail. When I opened the old container I found it pretty much completely panned. What really broke my heart was knowing that she would have held off on repurchasing her favourite blush until it was all gone because she couldn’t let herself spend the money ‘unnecessarily’. She is always being selfless, helping out family members and other people and once again it has cost her. I know it’s just a blush, but it’s more than just the blush. It’s something that empowers her and makes her feel confident and her best self. I’m hoping the people here might understand. I’m in New Zealand and have searched for hours trying to find one, even in used condition, with no luck. Maybe it’s time to move on, but I’m hoping for a Christmas Miracle.
