I went to a regular nail salon today with my bf’s mom and we both got full sets. I wanted Gel X but I didn’t see that option on their website when I was making my appointment so I settled for acrylics. I usually like them pretty short but the girl who did my nails made my middle and ring fingers WAY too short, and when I pointed out that those ones on my right hand were too short, she compared them to the other hand and straight up lied to my face “they’re the same!”…….like girl no they’re not 😭 I insisted a couple more times that the ones on my right hand were too short but she wouldn’t budge, so I didn’t feel comfortable pushing more or asking her to redo them.

The cherry on top is that once my bf’s mom and I were both done, I found out she got Gel X! She thinks I should go back tomorrow and ask to have them redone (and I’d get Gel X this time). I kinda agree but as a chronic people pleaser I feel bad, but I know I should probably do it anyway and practice standing up for myself. What do y’all think 🫠

Yes, you should go back! I think it’s done kinda poorly, looks like you had them for a couple of weeks already. You deserve nice nails

Go back and show those directly to the manager. If they won’t have a different tech redo them -for free, I might add- then ask for a refund. These are unacceptable.

  3. You’re right, some of them are way too short. And they look so grown out! They do that so you come back to get them done for frequently. I’d go back and complain!

  4. I’d be so frustrated too. If you’re uncomfortable with them, definitely go back and ask for the fix.

  5. Unless it’s from the shadow, your middle finger doesn’t look like the nail was shaved evenly.

  6. Girl they gave you the gollum special 😭😭😭 either give her another chance or call for a (potentially partial) refund and go somewhere else
