My usual technique for magnetic polish is to apply 2-3 coats of polish, then apply DRK Magic Effect topcoat and magnetize, then finally apply topcoat and magnetize. Well, I got curious if the DRK was actually necessary since the topcoat is also re-wetting all the previous layers of polish and decided to test.
The results are…I really don't notice much of a difference between the nails with DRK and the ones with topcoat only. What do you think?
Some additional info: DRK was used on index and middle fingers, magnetized for 1min, then topcoat magatized for 1min. Ring and pinky fingers have topcoat only magnetized for 1min. This was also a mani interruptus so it was about 1.5 hours between applying the last coat of polish starting the DRK/topcoat application.
Magatized using the gradient technique brought to us by u/EnvieAndFleur.
