Joke’s on her—I never had hinges to begin with. They did not cross the placenta. I may as well be floating in the Atlantic.🤭

Jokes aside, does anybody else use old nail wraps to cover cracks and/or breaks until they have time to deal with them? My mani is grown out and dusty and I won’t have time to deal with it until tomorrow or Sunday night, so this is what I do in the event that I have cracks or chips. My mom thinks I’m nuts. She is also a retired empty nester and has time to do her nails whenever.👀😅

I know we do tea bags, silk wraps, glue, etc. on the bare nail prior to polish for breaks/splits—but I mean using pieces of lacquer wraps to cover imperfections, kinda like a bandaid.🤭 Do any of ya’ll do this?

Idk. I went through a wrap phase once upon a time ago and when I committed to having a routine for lacquer, I didn’t get rid of the wraps because they’re still useful…but yeah, I refuse to believe I’m alone and crazy for this in particular.😂

On my nails:

One coat each of Jen & Berries Close the Gap base and Lap Record top coat

2 coats each of Zoya’s Tamiah (right) and Elsa (left)

I’ve never had nail wraps before, but now I want them for this exact purpose. All aboard the crazy train!

  2. I love practicality that looks good! Its like a nail art sticker that serves extra purpose 😍

  3. I do this too! I haven’t had much luck with the tea bag trick, and this keeps them from catching.

  4. Currently I am sporting a bandaid holding what’s left of my right pointer nail to the nailbed as I wait for the quarter half my dog tried to remove during a game of tug to grow out. Still has the roulette mani on it I posted on Halloween, but my other fingers have been redone. The roulette color is going to stay on there till I get brave enough to use acetone to remove it. I have a feeling it’s still gonna sting.

I messed up the glass bead somehow on the current mani, and it’s very underwhelming, so I didn’t post it. It’s pretty, don’t get me wrong, just not a “*gasp* it’s distracting TF out of me every time I turn my fingers”.

  5. The amount of times I’ve dinged my nail before it was fully cured and decided to add a sticker instead of fix it tells me this is not crazy at all
