So this polish has a special place in my heart, because this is the one that introduced me to the world of magnetic finishes for regular lacquer! Before seeing it at the local drugstore, I did not know that we can also have fun with magnetics, I thought it was the priviledge of gel users only 🤭 Anyway, this polish costs about 1 EUR! 😲🤤 Of course, can't expect it to be as reactive as the indies, but I quite like its effect, plus it's a gorgeous color. I don't know why this may be, but perhaps some of the more scientifically inclined amongst you could answer: I felt during the application that this polish reacts more strongly to pushing than pulling. Idk why. So on most of my fingers, you will see I tried to pull a classic cat eye, but it is rather dissolved. On the thumb, I did an ombre instead by pushing the particles which felt somehow easier…?

Products:

Essie smooth e base, Essence magic magnetic mini nail polish (this is the only color they have and thus does not have a separate name), KB shimmer QDTC, some nail stamping polish & random plate that had the croco print.

  1. Essence’s minis have been really fun! I’ve liked all the sparkly ones and the glow in the dark, I’ve yet to see this though! This looks like dragon scales, I like it a lot.
