So I went to the nail salon today, I haven’t been in around 4(?) years, so I was super excited. I was getting them done in theme with Glinda’s new dress in Wicked for Good because I’m going for the opening night~ However, they didn’t quite turn out how I wanted. I am going to go somewhere else to get them redone (these were over $100, and I’m afraid I’ll get similar results if I try the same place again) but before I do I want to know if I should cut my losses with this design and just go for something simple. I didnt think that this was an AI reference or anything like that, but these days its hard to tell online.
Any advice is welcome!!! 🤗

They tried to do the design without the right type of polish. The set in your photo is easily achieved by swirling pearlescent polish. Not glooping a colour over glitter because that is an abomination and you need a refund.

Oh my. They did you dirty. I would ask for a refund and take my business elsewhere permanently, because no self-respecting nail tech would let you walk out with that lumpy mess.
It literally looks like a five year old did your nails. Get your money back. The look you want is made by applying pearlescent polish and gently manipulating it with a thin tool. It’s not supposed to be gouged through every layer of polish. If they didn’t have pearlescent polish, and didn’t know how to do this look, they should have told you that at the beginning.
It is fucking ridiculous that someone charged you money for this, after completely failing at both what you asked for, and at manicuring in general. Polish left on your skin is not acceptable, that is basic, standard practice.
Is that regular polish?

I’ve done these myself at home… They didn’t have the proper polish to complete this, i’d be embarrassed if i let anyone walk out with those nails.. I’m so sorry, i would not go back there.
