I finally got around to wearing Mooncat's Forbidden Fruit, snagged during the Fall sale a couple of weeks ago, and I don't know if it's my lighting or if I've done something wrong but it doesn't look much like any other photos or videos I've seen of it online.

About 75% of the time, I get more of a purple-leaning beige out of the magnetic particles, rather than the shades of green I see in photos. It's super hard to capture on camera though–even if it looks beige to my eye, the camera picks up more of a chartreuse.

For those of you who also have Forbidden Fruit, is this normal for this polish? It's still super pretty, just not really what I expected.

Products used: Mooncat Getting Even base, Forbidden Fruit x2, DRK Magic Effect, Sally Hansen Insta-dri. Also the (amazing!) 5dPrintFactory magnetic spinner, for glass bead effect.

  1. This looks *so cool* and definitely seems different than my bottle of FF. You seem to have way more color shifts. Unless I’m losing it.
